The Brand new K-12 school: Harrow Hong Kong Children School Shenzhen Qianhai will officially open in September 2023.

It's now open to residents of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, foreigners,
and overseas Chinese and returnees (work and live in the Qianhai Cooperation Zone) with children aged 2 -18 years.

Student's Eligibility

Age:
For 2023-24 academic year, Harrow Hong Kong Children School, Shenzhen Qianhai only offers limited openings from Kindergarten to Grade 8. 

Citizenship/Residency:
1. Children of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents (priority is given to children of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents who work and live in the Qianhai Cooperation Zone);

2. Children holding foreign passports, with one of the parents holding the foreign passport (priority is given to children of foreigners who work and live in the Qianhai Cooperation Zone);
3. Children of overseas Chinese working in the Qianhai Cooperation Zone and children of Chinese talents who returned from studying abroad working in the Qianhai Cooperation Zone.

Specifically, children of Hong Kong residents include the following three categories:
1) One of the parents and the child are Hong Kong Permanent Residents;
2) One of the parents is a resident of mainland China who has obtained a Hong Kong identity card (Hong Kong non-permanent resident) through the Hong Kong SAR Government's Quality Migrant Admission Scheme, Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals or similar schemes, with the child being a resident of mainland China holding a dependent visa issued by the Hong Kong Immigration Department;
3) The child is a Hong Kong Permanent Resident born in Hong Kong, with both parents being residents of mainland China.

Curriculum Highlights

Through various interdisciplinary projects that incorporate STEAM and scientific innovation, students' thinking skills will be challenged and developed. Hong Kong curriculum + DSE/IB path: The Hong Kong curriculum will be taught from Kindergarten to Grade 9, and deeply integrates with the cultural characteristics of the Greater Bay Area; students in Grades 10-12 can choose the DSE or IB education pathways, steering to leading universities in Hong Kong and Mainland China, as well as well-known overseas universities such as Oxbridge and Ivy League.

First-class faculity, specialising in Hong Kong curriculum: the School Head brings more than 30 years of experience in running Band 1 schools in Hong Kong. The teaching staff have a diverse background in educational practice teaching in Hong Kong and the Mainland.

There is a unique and innovative environment of science and technology, focusing on STEAM literacy.  With the superior resources in "high-tech" innovative technology in the Greater Bay Area, Harrow Hong Kong Children School Shenzhen Qianhai will be committed to developing students' digital capabilities focusing on creativity and innovation. 

Every student will become bi-literate & trilingual, fluent in Chinese and English and proficient in Cantonese and Mandarin. This will allow them a broad range of educational and career options in the Greater Bay Area, as well as worldwide.

Activities include STEAM, sports, art, public welfare, natural exploration etc. These co-curricular activities aim to build students' characters and empower them to embrace future challenges.

*In 2024, students above grade 4 will be able to choose boarding to enhance their educational experience.
